Taking a poll

Hi,

One of the things we discussed (but I don't think resolved) was what term
to use for what is called an "operation" on a secured resource in the RFP.
To be clear, the example of a minimal set of operations named in the RFP
is "create, read, write, use, and delete".

As I recall:
I expressed concern that there might be confusion between this "operation"
and "operation" as used in CORBASec where it represents the operation
(method) on a CORBA interface. I had proposed using the word "intent".
Konstantin didn't like "intent" (I completely agree) and suggested "action"
which I like, but Bob Blakley pointed out that "action" has other pitfalls
and suggested "request" which for some reason doesn't seem intuitive to me
:-)

So... For the purpose of the next draft of IDL I am proposing going back to
using "operation" since it is what is in the RFP and delaying this
question along with other term issues (like what to name the module) for
later?
