[COAS-List] COAS Status and Next Events

NOTE: Remember there will be a COAS meeting on Thursday-Friday 12-13
November in Burlingame.  It will likely be in the same hotel as the OMG
meeting (Hyatt Regency at San Francisco Airport) or somehwere close by. 
This meeting is being hosted by Philips Medical Systems.

On Monday we had a COAS conference call where we mostly discussed the
part of the model dealing with the ObservationQualifier.  Some of the
questions we are dealing with are when to use ObservationQualifier vs
attributes on (a subclass of) ObserationValue.  We gained some common
understanding and have more to consider.  

A related issue discussed (but not solved) is whether ObservedReference
(relationships between ObservedSubjects) is in scope for COAS.  The
CORBAmed RoadMap group is also dealing with this subject.  Some one has
proposed a separate Relationship Service.  I figure this will be a big
topic of discussion at the CORBAmed meeting.

The COAS UML model will be put on the web for all submitters and
supports/contributors to access (hopefully this week I can get it
there).  It will also be presented at the CORBAmed meeting in
Burlingame.


On Monday's conference call we decided to have another conferenc call
next Monday 2 November at:

	05:00 pm GMT

Mary has been setting these up but I don't know if anyone has told her
in time.  If you see a message on this list before 9:00 PST Monday
indicating the number to call we will have it.  Otherwise we could
schedule another for a different time next week.
