The fourth NLANR/Internet2 Techs Workshop will be held at the Kovens Conference Center, Florida International University in Miami, FL December 5-8, 1999. The workshop will build upon the previous three NLANR/Internet2 Techs Workshops. Topics will include network performance measurement and monitoring, applications, and network tools. There will also be case studies, and infrastructure updates, as well as updates from the Gigapops and campuses. Various aspects of optimizing high speed links will be covered, including using them for video conferencing, TCP implementation and tuning, and performance measurement. The workshop will include tutorials on Sunday afternoon, as in the past, along with more in depth tutorials on Wednesday afternoon. Please contact Janet Brown brown@psc.edu or Paul Love epl@internet2.edu if you would like to schedule a BOF. A reception will be held at the Wolfsonian Museum the evening of Monday, December 6th. NLANR Engineering Services and Internet2, a project of the University Corporation for Advanced Internet Development (UCAID), are jointly responsible for planning the meeting.
