summary of the feedack from the presentation on revised RAD
Hi all,
As most of you know, there was a presentation on 3/22 done by Carol Burt and
myself on the revised submission to HRAC RFP. You can find references to our
slides in this mail list archive.
Below I summarize feedback that we received. Carol and others, please
add/correct the summary as you consider appropriate.
1. (From Bret Hartman) It is not clear what results/behavior the algorithm on
matching a resource name and a resource name pattern specifies when either name
or pattern have more than one component with the same name. For example (my
example), PIDS resource names definition says that a profile of traits is
specified by listing all trait names:
{'TraitName', 'HL7/MaritalStatus'}, {'TraitName', 'HL7/FirstName'},
{'TraitName', 'HL7/LastName'}
Another example (from Bret) is x500 DNs, where there could be more than one
element of type 'OU'. If somebody want to reuse X500 name space in defining RAD
resources, how matching is supposed to happen?
2. (From several people) It seems more useful to treat resource names as
ordered sequences of components as opposed to the current version where
resource names are treated as unordered sets of components.
