Online Healthcare Company stock movement

The Internet's ability to provide healthcare information to
consumers produced sharp runups in some Web stocks. Healtheon
(HLTH) surged 24 3/8 to 80 1/4 on news it was poised to purchase
privately held medical portal WebMD. Other issues posting gains
included OnHealth (ONHN), which rose 2 1/4 to 14 3/16, Medirisk
(MDMD), which gained 1 7/8 to 10 3/8, and Adam Software (ADAM), up
4 3/4 at 23 3/4. "Just found out about adam.com this week as I've
been trying to keep tabs on Healtheon," noted jayhawker in note
#86. "I can afford more ADAM than HLTH, so here I am." Referring
to an alliance with a division of Cox Communications (COX), which
sold off 3/16 to 85 1/16, jayhawker said, "I just read that ADAM
has formed an alliance with Cox Interactive. Adam's 'award
winning' health and medical info will be featured on Cox
Interactive's network of sites." See full message at
