We have worked on better defining the scope of the Healthcare Encounter
Management (HEM) RFI and a new version is available on the OMG server under
document number corbamed/98-05-02.  This document includes the comments
provided by Mary Richards and also reflects the discussions at the Encounter
Management working group session in Orlando.  Please make voting on this RFI
a part of one of the main sessions in Helsinki.

The proposed time line for responding is quite generous.  We are of the
opinion that that an RFI is a better alternative than an internal CORBAmed
greenpaper as we have the opportunity to get vital feedback from experts that
are currently not active in the OMG.
