[COAS-List] CORBAmed Clinical Observation Access Service

CORBAmed is currently working on a Request for Proposal (RFP) of a
Clinical Observation Access Service. A joint initial response to the
Clinical Observations Access Service (COAS) RFP has been submitted to the
OMG. You are invited to share your expertise with the COAS submission
team.

The current COAS initial submission consists of discussions about many
parallel issues the submitters will be addressing before the final revised
submission. The IDL given is a place holder until these other issues
are resolved.

The team of submitters are planning on holding a series of meetings to
detail the model underlying the COAS submission. (Note this is a
SUBMITTERS meeting, NOT a CORBAmed session). The first submitters meeting
will be the week after next in Colorado. This session will focus on the US
representation of a COAS service. The next submitters meeting will
be held in conjunction with the CORBAmed session, in Helsinki, Finland the
week of July 27th. This session will focus on the European aspects
of a COAS service.

Several models have been submitted to the COAS team. These
models are currently under review by the team of submitters. The resulting
COAS model will not be a comprehensive view of healthcare. It is a
specific intersection of the details that relate to a Clinical Observation
Access Service.

The submitting team welcomes participation by other people interested in
proposing, reviewing or evaluating solutions for COAS issues or even
things like providing use scenerios. Comments may be sent to
the corbamed@omg.org list. The submitting team would like to invite you
to contribute your expertise to the efforts of COAS.

If you are interested in attending the submitters meetings, send a request
to the submission team at coas@cs.fiu.edu, to acquire meeting logistics.

If you would like to continue to participate with the submitters you may
join the submitters mail list by sending a message to coas@cs.fiu.edu.
Your contribution will be noted in future revisions of the RFP response as
a supporter of the COAS submission.

Feel free to contact the submitters with any questions or concerns
regarding this invitation.
